Post Jam Update


Because I felt like I didn't fully participate, (I basically only spend the first 24 hours on it and afterwards maybe an hour a day) I wanted to make some little tweaks to make the game more fun, better readable and just better.

I've exposed some values for you to better understand the game:

  • Which wave you're currently on;
  • The amount of kills you need to make to complete a wave;
  • The time it takes for a wave to start;
  • The power level of your laser (left bar on the right);
  • The stable level of your laser (right bar on the right).

Hopefully these tweaks will make it more fun and make it easier to understand the game. It's also very handy to see the impact when the unstable laser randomly changes a component.


I've also made some tweaks to:

  • The wave system. It now gives you more balanced amount of enemies over the course of a wave;
  • The enemies. They are now scaled to the wave. The become harder to kill, deal more damage and shoot fater;
  • The Laser's components. Things are better balanced. Even when your power and stable levels are low, you can hit hard ... But at a cost of your health.


Before, when your died, the level would just restart and you were back in the game again. Now, a death message is displayed and it takes a few seconds before restarting the level. This gives you a little time to understand what just happened.
